The course will review guidelines and systemdevelopment life cycle for developing andimplementing EHR strategies for healthcareorganizations. Framework and conceptual modelswill be used to describe an electronic healthrecord and the various components will becovered. Emphasis will be placed on thedevelopment, use, and maintenance of theelectronic health records. Students will berequired to complete activities with in asimulated electronic medical record system in andoutside of the classroom.
Prerequisites: HIT 101, 102, 103, 108, and 110.
