Topics covering the descriptive and inferentialaspects of statistics will include: frequencydistribution, graphs, measures of centraltendency and dispersion, linear correlation andregression, probability, probabilitydistributions, binomial and normal distributions,introduction to sampling theory, estimationtheory, and hypothesis testing. Computer softwarewill be used. A graphing calculator with specificstatistical capabilities will be required forthis course.

MAT 116 or MAT 143
