GRED 664 provides a semester-long pre-service field experience for students majoring in childhood education (grades 1-6). This field experience will fulfill 85 of the 100 hours required for certification requirements to proceed into Student Teaching. Students will have the opportunity to observe, practice, and learn in an elementary classroom. Placements are initiated and secured by the Center for school Partnerships and Teacher Certification. Students are under the supervision of a cooperating teacher (experienced classroom teacher) and university supervisor. Due to certification and degree requirements, students must have an overall GPA of 3.0 in order to take GRED 664 and Childhood MST students must take GRED 664 with SPED 505 in the same semester. Fall and Spring semesters only.
Prerequisites: GRED 530, GRED 558, and GRED 607.
