Prerequisite: MATH 201 or equivalent. (See Math Flowchart) Multivariable calculus including vectors in planes and space; lines, planes and surfaces in space; rectangular, cylindrical and spherical coordinates; vector-valued functions, motion, arc length and curvature; functions of several variables, partial derivatives, chain rules, directional derivatives and gradients, tangent planes; Lagrange multipliers. Also multiple integration applied to volume center of mass and surface area; vector analysis including vector fields, line integrals, Green’s Theorem, parametric surfaces, surface integrals, divergence, curl and Stokes’ Theorem.
