This course provides an introduction to the field of public relations (PR), exploring its role in shaping public perception and building relationships between organizations and their key audiences. Students will learn and the fundamental principles, strategies, and tools used in PR to effectively manage communication, reputation, and media relations. Prerequisite(s): declared COM major/minor with ACOM 265X, and majors must have completed a statistics/logic course (ACOM 275 or AMAT 108, or ASOC 221 or RCRJ 281 or APSY 210 or APHI 210).
