This course provides foundational knowledge and skills needed for implementation of leadership and management roles within health care. With a focus on the micro level of the organization, learners will apply theories and professional standards of nursing as they analyze concepts of human resource management, quality improvement, and unit-based budgeting. This practicum course provides foundational knowledge and opportunities to develop and apply leadership and management skills for professional nursing roles in a variety of healthcare settings. Prerequisites: ALHT 202 or MATH 115 or equivalent statistics course and NURS 303 and ALHT 300 and ALHT 301 and UNIV 300 and NURS 300 and NURS 301 and NURS 302. Restricted to BSN program. Not open to non-matriculated students. (3:3,3) Restricted to students enrolled in the following Major: Nursing
