Take your class online with SUNY
You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
This online asynchronous second half-semester course introduces the principles of Edited Standard Written American English in a format that allows you to understand yourselves as active participants in your own learning. The course€™s content describes directly the key rhetorical and academic concepts that shape college writing, establishing skills that will serve you in all the other writing-intensive courses you take at Geneseo. At the same time, it encourages students to consider how their own preferred language habits might productively expand the concept of academic writing, in accordance with the scholarly statement of students' right to their own language.
