SPN 101 is a beginning language course designed for students with no previous experience in Spanish or whose experience does not make placement in a higher level Spanish course advisable. The course is designed to provide students with the fundamentals of Spanish pronunciation vocabulary and grammar as well as an introduction to Hispanic culture. The course will stress the development of communication skills especially listening and speaking but will also promote reading and writing skills.
