This graduate level seminar will address the competencies critical for providing effective occupational therapy as a related service in the school settings. Students will be empowered to provide educationally relevant services consistent with policies governing school practice.¿ Content includes the role of the related service provider, laws and regulations, workload management, the assessment process, effective documentation, planning and implementation of contextual services, professional communication, and team collaboration. Participants will learn to utilize on-line resources to inform their practice. This seminar will use a hybrid format that includes onsite and asynchronous online participation and a school placement experience.
