The histology course consists of a series of lectures on the histology of the body, laboratory exercises and examinations. The purpose of the course is to introduce the morphology of the basic tissues and organs and the internal structure of the cell. Goals of the course are: 1. To understand the microscopic organization of all tissues and organs of the human body. 2. To relate morphology to the functions of the tissue and organs. 3. To understand the basic biological processes that have application to the orofacial complex.
