You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
This course examines the role of the internet and information and communication technologies (ICTs) in contemporary society and their incorporation into advanced social work practice. Drawing on theory and research and through experiential learning across digital practice environments. We will study the impact of technology on human behavior, relationships, and social work practice with diverse colleagues and client systems. The course provides an in-depth exploration of how advanced social work professionals can effectively and ethically integrate ICTs into their practice, including through the application of a trauma-informed human rights (TIHR) perspective. We will also consider how ICTs can be used as a platform for multidisciplinary and collaborative knowledge development, translation, and dissemination.
