Take your class online with SUNY
You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
In this course, students will examine theoretical and empirical literature pertaining to organizational culture, climate, and receptivity to adopt evidence-based practices (EBPs), and assess contextual factors that support or deter intervention implementation. We will consider strategies for assessing, intervening, and supporting the implementation of EBPs in organizations, including a trauma-informed approach and an understanding of human rights. This includes assuming a leadership role to facilitate the translation of evidence into practice within organizations. Students will have the opportunity to explore the receptivity and readiness of their own agencies in relation to EBP implementation, and to consider tactics to promote organizational change and encourage the uptake of EBPs.
