This course is an introduction to the field of gender and women’s studies. This course introduces key concepts in the field of gender and women’s studies. Topics covered include: history and methods of the field, the social construction of gender and gender identities, privilege and oppression, postcolonial and women of color feminisms, sexual and queer politics, reproductive justice and social movements, embodiment and (dis)abilities, gendered and state sponsored violence, and other contemporary social issues.. Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer.
