Study of the evolution of technology as it impacts the creation and development of electronic music on a global scale, from earliest experiments to current practice. Trends in electronic music composition in the United States, Europe, and Asia are lensed through both perspectives of “art†and “pop†music. Sound synthesis principles illustrated on personal devices: iPhone, android, tablet, iPad. No musical ability required. Varies.
