Catalog Course Description
This course provides an introduction to accounting practice and theory using the model of the sole proprietorship. The accounting process for recording, summarizing and reporting financial data is analyzed. Topics include the preparation and use of financial statements, the accounting cycle for service and merchandising enterprises and the valuation of assets. Sutdents explore the practical aspects of accounting.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Analyze, understand and record common business transactions.
