Catalog Course Description
Students explore the phenomenon of terrorism through historical perspectives that affect the U.S. and its domestic and foreign policies. Students learn how the United States is combating terrorism internationally and domestically, using strategies that will shape America in the future,
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Examine the historical perspective of terrorism.
2. Identify basic terms, characteristics and classifications of terrorism and relevant individuals.
3. Identify, define and understand homegrown terrorism and its motives.
4. Understand international terrorist groups and organizations and their targets around the world.
5. Recognize ways that America is a target.
