Catalog Course Description
This course covers selected principles of biology, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, psychology, and sociology related to coaching, human growth and development, training and conditioning of athletes.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Explore scientific principles as they relate to athletic coaching, training, and conditioning.
2. Distinguish the effects of psychological, sociological, and environmental variables on athletic training and competition.
3. Explore and explain the processes of human growth and development and their effects on skill development and refinement.
4. Implement theory and real-world scenarios.
