This course is an introduction to the basic concepts of differential and integral calculus. Topics include limits and continuity, differentiation of algebraic functions, applications of the derivative to curve sketching, related rates and maximum-minimum problems, Riemann sums and the definite integral, and applications of the integral to areas and other real-world problems.
Prerequisites: MAT 132 with C or better or math placement. Students who have successfully completed MAT 241 or higher may not take this course.
