This is a one-semester course designed for non-chemistry majors that emphasizes practical application of chemistry in topics including environmental pollution, energy sources, botanical chemistry and fertilizers, consumer chemistry, nutrient cycles and human health. The chemical principles underlying current issues in science and technology are illustrated to enhance student learning.
