This course is intended as an advanced course in health systems and health care delivery. This course is oriented to provide the graduate students with an in-depth study of the application of industrial and system engineering principles for continuous process improvement in the health care. Concepts that are addressed and studied include, but are not limited to, process mapping, optimization, scheduling, lean and flexible systems, quality enhancement, simulation, supply chain management, inventory control, and information management. SSIE 537 or permission of the instructor. Term offered varies. 3 credits.
