This course is designed to provide students with the skills in algebra that are necessary to continue on with algebra-based coursework. Topics include algebraic and graphic solutions of linear, quadratic, exponential and logarithmic equations and linear inequalities, systems of equations and inequalities, and operations with polynomials and factoring. The course will utilize a function and contextual problems approach. For students considering taking MTH 144 this course is not recommended. Pre/Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in MTH 095- Fundamentals of Algebraic Thinking, or Successful completion of MTH 095 or higher or Math placement into MTH 125. 3 cr. 3 Lec.
