This course traces major developments in World History since 1500, including European expansion, colonialism and imperialism and the responses of other peoples and regions, the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, the French Revolution and other social upheavals, liberalism, nationalism and socialism, World War I, World War II, the Cold War and de-colonization, and contemporary economic, social and environmental crises and responses up to the present time.
