You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students

Students will draft a legal memorandum based on a constitutional issue selected by the Instructor. Each student will be assigned to a party on the first day of the summer session and be expected to defend his or her client during an online court simulation. By the end of this course, students will have a basic understanding of how to draft a legal memorandum and how to defend a client in court. At the end of the course, interested students may be offered the opportunity to apply for an internship at a law firm in Broome County or with a former Magistrate Judge. This course satisfies the American Politics and upper level requirement for the Political Science major.
