This course designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of organic chemistry. This course emphasizes the basic building blocks of general chemistry and how they apply to organic chemistry. This course also bridges the basic building blocks of organic chemistry on basic introduction to functional group approach, with emphasis that cover the properties and reactions of hydrocarbons and their functional groups, aromatic compounds, and biological molecules.
