The course will enumerate and describe global forces of domination and resistance as exemplified in selected feature films, especially those created in the countries of Global South. The course will offer the space to view and discuss cinema from once colonized countries. The films will be accompanied by readings that illustrate principles of political education and the significance of these films for social change and resistance. Student's will use the pedagogical tools that these films provide to create a final project consisting of using films to educating for social change.
