Supply chain and operations management encompasses not only the design and planning of supply chain activities, but also the execution, control, and monitoring that help companies to build a competitive infrastructure and create net value. This course acquaints students with the fundamentals of supply chain and operations management in both manufacturing and service sectors. Topics include the supply chain model, product and process design, total quality management, and sustainability. Student apply these concepts and their associated methodologies to common problems faced by organizations. Prerequisites: BUSI 200 or HOSP 105, and ECON 100, 110, or 210, and Junior class level.
