This course provides an examination of the criminal justice system on one particular issue or on a selected short list of current issues. The primary goal of this course is to develop a specialized understanding of the criminal justice system's response to crime in today's society. The general theme of this course involves the inclusion of the delicate balance between community interests and individual rights that criminal justice decision making requires in contemporary society. Prerequisites: Students must have passed at least 21 credit hours of criminal justice course work at the 300 level or above and CJUS 310. Repeatable up to 3 times with different topics for a maximum of 9 credits. Restrictions: BS Criminal Justice majors only (3:3,0) Restricted to students enrolled in the following Major: Criminal Justice
