Principles of Teaching and Learning: This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of principles of teaching and learning in both the academic and clinical realms. Theoretical concepts applicable nursing education will be introduced and various teaching environments will be explored. The course will focus on the application of skills for all aspects of course design, including individual assignments, learning modules, instructional strategies, learner evaluation and course syllabi. Students will use a variety of technologies in their assignments, and will present their work using their own self-developed web site. Prerequisites: NURS 500, NURS 502. All with a minimum grade of B. Restrictions: Nursing Education majors only. (3:3,0) Restricted to students enrolled in the following Major: Nursing Education
