Prerequisite: AHS 131, HIT 151, HIT 156, HIT 170, MAP 130 with a grade of C or better in each course Concurrent Requisite: HIT 158, MAP 132 with a grade of C or better in each course. This course is a supervised practical experience for development of fundamental skills in administrative medical assistant procedures through an internship placement in a physician's office, medical clinic, hospital, or other healthcare facility. Students will prepare a portfolio and practice interviewing skills. Students must be available to complete the administrative internship during normal business hours Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
