In this course, students will gain knowledge about and hands-on practice of experimental research methods in psychology. Students will learn how to identify key pieces of experiments and how to properly plan out experiments to align with previous research and theory. Focus of study will be on the basic building blocks of psychological processes. Topics covered in this study may include research methods, hypothesis testing, cognition, sensation, attention, perception, memory encoding and retrieval, personality, and attitude formation. Relevant ethical and diversity issues will also be examined throughout the course.While it is not required, it might be helpful if students have taken Introduction to Psychology and a course examining Research Methods. This course was previously HDV-283354 .This course contains elements which rely on vision to complete.
