This course provides both a practical and conceptual background in computing and information processing and management fundamentals. Students receive hands-on experience while learning the latest graphical interface technology and how it interacts with word processing, spreadsheets, database management, presentation graphics and the Internet. Microsoft Windows and Windows applications are the software products used. Lab time outside of class is required. Students must have some familiarity with the Windows Operating System or computers using graphical user interfaces (e.g. Mac OS or Linux).
