Designed for the non-science major, this course provides an introduction to Earth Science through an examination of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans. Topics covered include the Earth-Sun system, the structure and composition of the Earth's atmosphere, global circulation patterns, severe weather, global climate change, physical oceanography, shoreline processes, and the seafloor and plate tectonics.
Prerequisites:
MAT 095 or higher with a C or better
