Social media are vital tools for the ways in which we represent ourselves and connect to others. It is just as evident that they are critical sources of mis/information, sites for bullying and data harvesting, and political playgrounds that have deepened polarization. This course focuses on the social impacts of social media by examining their use of language and modes of communication
