Zombies are so last apocalypse! Join us as we explore the cutting-edge of end-of-the-world storytelling. From fungal infections to titan invasions, we’re diving deep into how modern apocalyptic tales reflect our changing world. On this journey through the wasteland, we will debate what it means to be human when civilization crumbles, unpack how The Last of Us, Attack on Titan, and The Hunger Games challenge old tropes, explore how race, class, and gender shape survival in fictional apocalypses and apply scholarly theories to our favorite doomsday scenarios. Warning: This course may cause intense discussions, mind-blowing revelations, and a strange urge to stock up on canned goods. Survival skills not included, but highly recommended!
