The first semester of a two-semester, basic, non-calculus General Physics course emphasizing fundamental concepts and principles with a problem-solving approach. Topics covered include Kinematics and Dynamics, Newton's Laws, Work and Energy, Momentum, Rotational Motion, Heat and Thermodynamics. A two-hour recitation session allows the opportunity to work on techniques of problem solving. Two class hours, two recitation hours and two laboratory hours.
