Catalog Course Description
In this course, students apply their knowledge of sustainable building systems, energy management, renewable energy, green building materials, and other green building principles to analyze and solve specific problems related to building maintenance and management. Building assessment tools related to sustainable design, construction, operations, and maintenance are utilized. Pre-requisite of at least 12 completed GRB credits or permission of instructor.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Explain the movement of heat, air, and water, through a building enclosure.
2. Identify issues to be considered in building design, maintenance, management, and operation.
3. Apply building science theory to resolve building issues.
4. Apply knowledge of LEED GA exam content to analyze and solve questions accurately.
