Earn your associate degree online

You will earn the same diploma as our on-campus students

This program is designed for students who intend to pursue studies at a New York State four-year college to attain teacher certification in secondary education (grades 7-12).

The Adolescence Education Studies – Mathematics at Suffolk offers a strong liberal arts foundation. New York State teacher certification standards will be met through upper-level coursework at a New York State four-year college, including supervised student teaching.

This program meets the SUNY Transfer Path for Mathematics and Adolescence Education. With completion of the associate degree (courses with “C” or higher), students will achieve junior status when transferring into a related program at the SUNY four-year institution.

What's an associate degree?
An associate degree usually takes two years of study and prepares students for employment or transfer to a bachelor’s program at a four-year university.
