It is a developing discipline with an emphasis on technology as an integral tool to organize, analyze, manage, and use health information, clinical data, images, and knowledge for patient care, health education, administration and research. The Master of Science in Health Informatics is a STEM designated program offered by the Health Informatics Program in the School of Health Professions (SOHP). The program consists of a 39-credit curriculum (30-credit core and 9-credit electives) that emphasizes on clinical informatics, human computer interaction, electronic health records, evaluation of healthcare information system, clinical data management, health data analytics and visualization.
