Earn your master degree online

You will earn the same diploma as our on-campus students

Located in the heart of Brooklyn, NY our Downstate Health Sciences University has a rich legacy of excellence in education, research, and community service. Our accredited School of Public Health stands at the forefront of public health education, with a focus on urban and immigrant populations.

Our mission to promote health and prevent disease in the population moves beyond preventive services provided to individual patients in clinical settings by adopting a population-based perspective on pressing health issues, through health education campaigns, screening and prevention programs, epidemiologic analysis of health problems, and consideration of the implications of health policies.

Our Master of Public Health (MPH) online program is ideal for working professionals who are interested in obtaining a master’s degree in public health and offers both asynchronous and synchronous online courses. The 42-credit MPH is currently offered as a part-time or full-time program. All students have opportunities to integrate theory with the practice of public health.

Explore our online MPH programs in the following public health fields: Community Health Sciences, Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Health Policy & Management
