Introductory survey of federal, state and local criminal justice systems including police, courts, prosecutor, Grand Jury, trial jury, probation, parole, and correctional system. Gives beginning students broad overview of role of criminal justice in a free society and provides foundation for all other courses in the program. Emphasizes importance of ethics in the criminal justice system.
