This course is an examination of state and local governments within the American federal system. It will include the structure, function, political processes and political economy of state and municipal governments, with an emphasis on the State of New York. Where possible, a seminar approach will be used in this course. A field experience is required. Prerequisite: None. 3 cr. 3 Lec.
