This course will discuss the fundamental principles of accounting as they apply to the practice of funeral directing. The student will develop an understanding of basic accounting terminology used within the funeral profession. The accounting principles will be applied to funeral industry software, as part of office management and record-keeping. A working knowledge of maintaining financial and personal information will be developed for record-keeping and governmental reporting. In addition, the client-centered data entry software will be used as part of the process of maintaining case information.
