In this course, students will examine disparities in distribution of disease/illness/injury among a variety of population groups defined on the basis of race/ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, age, ability, etc. Students will explore epidemiologic trends illustrating health disparities, social factors that contribute to those disparities and strategies to address them.
