This course explores the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects of the period in Human Development known as Aging. Students develop an understanding of themes and issues such as health and prevention, personality, relationships, family and community, mental health, retirement, long term care, death and dying. Students participate in a practicum component, where they engage in experiential learning in a community-based setting with a focus on the aging population.
Prerequisites:
HDF211, 25 cumulative GPA Felony Questionnaire Required
