Take your class online with SUNY
You will learn the same curriculum as our on-campus students
This course provides Master's students with experience with advanced methods, systems, tools and databases available for the multiscale modelling, analysis, and interpretation of the increasingly voluminous molecular, genomic, and proteomic data. The focus is on advanced exercises that make use of these biological big data for research in molecular and systems biology, genetics, genomics, and proteomics as well as for translating and integration with clinical health care data to help predict and prevent disease. Students will be provided a strong foundation in structural and translational bioinformatics by using advanced homology detection methods, macromolecular structure modelling, whole interactome modelling, and integrative tools to perform sophisticated analyses of genomic, epigenetic, gene expression and proteomic data.
