This class is a public speaking class with an introduction to vocal technique and effective speaking for all professional situations including teaching. Through foundational voice work, improvisations, and prepared presentations, students will improve their ability to speak simply and with conviction. Students will prepare and practice interview techniques as well as formal and informal presentations. The course's goal is to create an honest and expressive voice and to prepare students to succeed in a variety of professional speaking situations, including interviews, presentations, speeches, and teaching. The class is appropriate for ESL students.
