An online asynchronous course that engages future science teachers in the methods, learning theories, practices, and instructional approaches relevant to science education. Students learn strategies, master techniques, and gain practice-based experience in fostering inquiry based, learner-centered classrooms. They also design equitable and authentic science learning experiences for diverse student populations. Students design lessons reflecting educational standards, while using creative approaches to enhance the learning environment. They conduct research, describe, critique, and make recommendations for improving an existing science program
