Students will engage in applied learning, field observations, and reflective processing to explore and understand the impacts and opportunities associated with ecotourism and sustainable practices in Costa Rica and more broadly the impact on the cultural, economic and environmental resources in selected regions of Costa Rica. Through cultural immersion and hands-on experiential learning students will address principles and practices in ecotourism operations and responsible travel.
