Students will participate in their second of two level II fieldwork experiences which are required for the program. An in-depth experience in the delivery of occupational therapy services will be provided in one of a variety of clinical placement sites. This experience shall further develop and expand students' repertoire in order to develop competent, entry-level prepared occupational therapy assistants that are skilled in applying the OT process to client care. Students will be mentored through this experience by a qualified OT Practitioner. In addition, students will participate in an online component to the course which will challenge students to identify and discuss trends and issues facing the profession in a variety of service contexts. Service delivery concepts will be explored with topical areas to include, but not limited to, management concepts, reimbursement, quality improvement, supervision, and leadership. Level II fieldwork must be completed within 12 months of academic preparation.
