An exploration of creative writing as a means of self-expression in three genres: poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction. This course emphasizes the process of creative writing: topic and form selection, draft planning, development of imagination, and revision. All work will focus on the characteristics of good writing and the discipline, practice, and self-awareness required to produce contemporary literature.
Prerequisites:
Placement into ENG 101 or a grade of C- or higher in ENG
